Me, The Bird Lady

Hi! My name is Heather, but my student's call me Bird (It's my last name). I am a credentialed veterinary technician living in Utah and teach in the Broadview University Veterinary Technician program. Before coming to Broadview, I attended school at UC Davis in the Avian Sciences program and had the opportunity to work in the Avian Pathology Lab for the University. In addition to my experience in the Avian Lab, I also worked with the birds of Mickey Grove Zoo and many private owners who visited the exotic pet clinic that employed me. Birds are one of my most fave topics to chat about, so here I am blogging away about them and all of the ups and downs that come with having a bird for a roommate.
